OCBC said in an announcement on 18 March that they will be enabling face verification for bank transactions at their ATMs.
They will be extending face verification for cash withdrawls at all of their 550 ATMs islandwide, from June onwards.
At present, there are 8 ATMs trial-testing the face verification system for account balance enquiries, they are located at:
– OCBC Tampines Centre Two
– Taman Jurong Shopping Centre
– Great Eastern, Pickering Street
– OCBC Tampines Centre One
– HDB Hub Level 1
– 103 Yishun Ring Road
– OCBC Campus
– Geylang Road 7-Eleven
OCBC said that face verification will remove the need for their customers to carry ATM cards around, providing a “secure alternative” to ATM cards.
They will be utilizing SingPass face verification to verify customers’ identities.
