Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, many people had turned to online food delivery services to purchase their food. On 20 May 2020, a Facebook user had shared his unpleasant experience while ordering online.
According to the Facebook post, the order was placed and the payment was made, however, the item was not delivered. After contacting the seller, several reasons were given to explain for the late delivery.
However, the product were not delivered as promised. When asked for a refund, the seller transferred $1 extra and asked the customer to give himself an ice cream treat.

This is shared on his FB post:
“Rude seller alert!!! My mother wanted to try custard puffs from @sarahaqilah_n (instagram). If it wasn’t for my mother I wouldn’t have bothered ordering considering her late replies. Overpromising twice!
On the 11th May, I texted her and asked when was the next delivery. So she mentioned on the 22nd May. I agreed then I placed my order and she told me she will get back to me shortly but she didn’t.
Next day I texted again, asking for updates but no reply, fine.
The following day, I sent her another msg stating I totally understand if she was having high volume but at least have some courtesy to tell me you’re not taking in my order. Awhile later, then she decided to reply. After payment was made, no automatic updates and again I have to be the one asking when will the delivery be made. She mentioned 17 May, 12-8pm.
On the day itself, I waited till nearly 9pm and order was still not received then I texted. She gave an excuse, driver’s problem so next delivery will be on Tuesday, 19th May. Fine, I give her a benefit of doubt. So today I waited almost the whole day thinking she would deliver but end up no updates and this is her response? Is this how you respond/do service recovery? Next time don’t over promise! I think I have been way too kind in this matter and I don’t know if those who ordered are also affected. I’m sorry to say la even the Apek Ice Cream now selling @ $1.20! Go use that money to fund on your business so you don’t miss out on your orders anymore. For those wondering, I transferred her back her useless $1. LOL!”
