A family in Malaysia is appealing to the public for help in locating a group of kind-hearted strangers who helped reunite them with their missing three-year-old daughter after a terrifying incident at Mid Valley Megamall.

According to a heartfelt social media post shared by the child’s parent, the incident happened on 15 March between approximately 2.45pm and 3.15pm while the family was at the shopping mall.

During that half-hour period, the young girl reportedly became separated from her family, sending her parents into panic and emotional distress.

The parent described the ordeal as one of the most frightening moments of their lives, saying countless terrible possibilities ran through their minds as they desperately searched for their daughter.

The group of strangers noticed something was wrong and helped ensure the child was safely reunited with her family.

According to the parent’s recollection, the group appeared to consist of around four to six adults, including elderly family members. They were believed to be a family outing group without children, possibly adult children accompanying their parents on a shopping trip.

However, due to the panic and emotional shock at the time, the family forgot to obtain any contact details from the good Samaritans before leaving.

Family wants to personally thank the good Samaritans

The parent said the family has never stopped thinking about the kindness shown by the strangers and hopes to find them again to express their gratitude in person.

They clarified that they do not have any other intentions besides wanting the opportunity to treat the group to a meal and sincerely thank them face-to-face.

The emotional appeal has since drawn attention online, with many netizens praising the strangers for stepping in to help a lost child during a critical moment.

The family is now hoping social media users can help share the message widely in hopes that the group — or someone who recognises them — may eventually come forward.
