PM LEE – CABINET RESHUFFLE LIKELY TO TAKE PLACE IN EARLY JUNE

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said on 13 May that the upcoming reshuffle of the Cabinet is likely to take place early next month.

The reshuffle is likely to see Lawrence Wong finally promoted to deputy prime minister.

PM Lee said that he expects the Cabinet changed to be announced after his overseas trips conclude and that they are currently in the works.

PM Lee is also set to speak on 26 and 27 May at the 27th International Conference on the Future of Asia.

The conference which is being organised by the Nikkei business media group, is set to be streamed online and held in Tokyo.

PM Lee was asked for updates on the movements of the Cabinet, to which he said that he is working on it, but he has had to focus on his trips, as well as the Nikkei conference.

He added that hopefully he can do it once he is done with his trips, which means early June.
