A primary school teacher has posted online and shared her current feelings she has against fat students. She stated on how fat people are lazy and that’s why they are poor.
Here is her full story.
I simply dislike FAT people. It is true that other characteristics reflect how a person is born, such as height, facial features which are not within one’s control. But being fat just reflects bad on you as a person. It tells people your life discipline, your work attitude, your lifestyle just sucks. You are a loser thats why you cannot even take proper care of your body.
Take a look at rich successful driven people and how many are fat? Compare that with proportion of fatsies among the lower and even middle class. The evidence is there: fat = lazy = poor.
Ok, lets give the benefit of doubt to children. Many are not born fat, but become fat because of the influence of their parents, caregivers. Notice how many ice cream uncles set up their shops outside kindegartens or primary schs? And parents and caregivers queuing up to buy for their children? But once the children reach a certain age, say 11 or 12, they should have the maturity and awareness to know that fat is unacceptable in our society, and work hard to slim down and fit up. If they don’t, they will get stuck with the fatso discipline and attitude till adulthood. Which by then is too late.
That is why in my school, I give the fatsos and plumps in my Primary 3 class the benefit of doubt first. I try to treat them equally. But when I see such fatsos in upper primary, they just turn me off. Fat = poor exam results, late homework, ill discipline. If I teach them next time, good luck to them.
My colleagues as well. Fatter ones seems to find ways to skive. Slower in everything they do. How can we allow such teachers to mould our future generations?
