Back in February, the Ministry of Finance mentioned of giving us an amount of up to $300 due to the budget surplus for the year of 2017.
Just a brief summary in case you forget, the Finance Minister mentioned that Singaporeans above the age of 21 will get an amount up to $300, depending on their annual salary as well as the number of property they own in Singapore.
However, no known date of when they will give us the money has been provided unless you were to check the MOF website. Below is transcript provided.
PAYMENT OF SG BONUS
Parliamentary Question by Mr Murali Pillai:
To ask the Minister for Finance (a) whether the date for the payment of SG Bonus has been determined; and (b) whether details on receiving the SG Bonus by eligible Singaporeans have been finalised and, if so, when will the announcement be made.
Parliamentary Reply by Minister of Finance, Mr Heng Swee Keat:
1. SG Bonus will be disbursed to all adult Singaporeans at the end of the year. Individual letters and SMS notifications will be sent in October 2018 to inform citizens about the amount of SG Bonus they will be receiving, and the payment dates.
2. Citizens who have registered for PayNow and linked their NRIC to their bank account can also receive their payout earlier via PayNow, compared to those being paid through direct bank crediting or cheques.
