An F-16 jet from the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) has crashed at Tengah Air Base following a reported issue during take-off. The incident occurred on Wednesday, 8th May, in the early afternoon.
The pilot of the aircraft was forced to eject due to the issue, averting any potential harm that could have resulted from remaining on board. The RSAF has confirmed that the pilot is currently in stable condition, receiving medical attention, and is conscious and able to walk.
The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) issued a statement detailing the incident, explaining that the F-16 aircraft faced an issue during take-off, leading the pilot to follow emergency procedures. There were no other injuries in this incident.
The pilot was able to eject from the aircraft before it crashed within the confines of Tengah Air Base. Following the incident, the RSAF has initiated response measures and investigations are ongoing.

On 8 May 2024, at 1235 hrs, a Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) F-16 experienced an issue during take-off and the pilot responded in accordance with emergency procedures. The pilot successfully ejected and the plane crashed thereafter within Tengah Airbase. The pilot is conscious and able to walk. He is receiving medical attention. No other personnel are hurt.
The RSAF is responding to the situation and detailed investigations have commenced.
