The Union of Security Employees (USE) has shared in their Facebook post about their visit to the security guard involved in an altercation with a Bentley driver who tried to run him down.
Condemning the actions of the driver who has been arrested by the Singapore Police Force, the USE also urged for respect for security officers for the job that they do as well as not to hurl abuse at the security guards who are just trying to carry out their duties.
They added that they have also visited the 62 y.o security guard, Mr Neo Ah Whatt who is currently recuperating at home and have also presented him with gifts for nourishment and some relief vouchers.
Photos of the visit were also uploaded in their post and they are also urging members of the public to report cases of abuse on their USE mobile app should they encounter cases of abuse against their guards.
Assistance will immediately be provided for members of public who face such cases.
Lastly, they thanked members of the public who have expressed support for Mr Neo and thanked the Police for taking swift action against the driver of the Bentley.
They also said that they will continue to support Mr Neo through this period of time.
