Wah piang eh, seriously cannot take it anymore. I need to post this here because I am literally typing this at 5:45 AM, wide awake, and my blood pressure is absolutely through the roof.
Any Sembawang residents here also facing this nonsense? Every single morning without fail, this one damn black crow will fly and land right outside my bedroom window ledge. If it just sit there and enjoy the morning breeze, I honestly don’t care. But no! It will start its daily concert. Caw! Caw! Caw! So loud, like got megaphone attached to its beak, I swear.
And you think that’s the best part? The best part is this bird got major attitude problem. After crowing for 10 minutes, it will start aggressively pecking my window glass. Tack! Tack! Tack! Tack! Loud and sharp, like someone doing construction work right next to my ear. My beautiful, precious REM sleep—instantly gone. Every morning wake up also feeling like a zombie, all because of this one feather-brained terror.
I already tried everything, okay? I close the curtains fully, I paste shiny aluminum foil on the glass to scare it away, I even bought a plastic toy owl from Shopee to put on the ledge. The owl worked for exactly two days before the crow realized it’s fake and started pecking the owl’s head also. Free entertainment for the bird, daily torture for me.
Seriously, is the relevant agencies going to do something about this or what? National Parks Board (NParks) or Town Council, hallo? Can please do something? I know they say they are managing the crow population and pruning trees, but the crows in Sembawang are multiplying like nobody’s business. They are becoming more and more fearless. Last time they only steal food at the hawker center, now they come directly to our HDB windows to give us free wakeup call.
Don’t tell me “co-exist with nature” please. If nature wants to co-exist with me, nature needs to pay rent or at least let me sleep until 7:00 AM. I am paying my S&CC charges every month punctually, but my quality of life is completely ruined by a bird. Anyone else successfully complain to NParks and got them to clear the nests nearby? Please share tips before I lose my mind completely. Sembawang residents, unite against these black flying pests can or not? Sian setengah mati.
