It has been reported that the Singapore-Johor Bahra train line will be ready by the end of 2026 and the agreement between both countries will be signed on the 30th July 2020.

Malaysia has revealed the timeline of the project as well. If there are no hiccups, the Rapid Transit System will begin operations be the end of year 2026.
There will be 3 agreement that would be signed on the 30th of July which would be:
- Bilateral agreement
- Concession agreement
- Joint Venture company to operate the RTS agreement
The ceremony will be witness by both leaders, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Malaysian’s premiere Muhyiddin Yassin. The total project will take 6 years to complete and will cost S$1.03 billion.
