SHIRTLESS BURGLAR ROBS HOME IN JB, WHILE OWNER IS WORKING IN S’PORE

Since Malaysia and Singapore closed the border last year, a female engineer working in Singapore has never returned to her home in Johor Bahru. Yesterday, she discovered an abnormality in the closed-circuit television.

The victim, Ms Lin (27 years old), works as an engineer in Singapore. Due to the border closure between Malaysia and Singapore, she has not returned to her home in Skudai for more than a year. Unexpectedly, her home was burgled yesterday morning.

According to Ms Lin’s Facebook post, her home was breached by a man and the whole incident was recorded on camera. The burglar turned over boxes and cabinets in the house. During the period, he took off his shirt, changed his jeans, and wore shorts. He walked around the house and checked the valuables.

She said that based on the video, the thief was outside the house at 7:45 a.m. yesterday, and entered the house from the side door at about 7:55 a.m., she discovered that the house was burgled at 8:40 a.m. The man found the CCTV about 30 minutes after entering the house and turned off the CCTV.

“I contacted my relatives at 8:52 in the morning. The relatives arrived at my house at 9:10 in the morning and went into the house to check. They were shocked when they found that the thief was still in the house. At that time, the thief was holding a wrench and signalled to attack. while waiting for the opportunity to quickly escape.”

The victim has since reported the incident to the Malaysian Police, but does not have the confidence that the Police will do anything.
