Singapore Airlines has resumed hiring flight attendants after a two-year personnel freeze.

Online application is now open. Selected applicants will receive a link to complete a video interview online. Candidates who are shortlisted will be invited to attend our final interviews in February and March 2022.
Responding to queries from CNA, an SIA spokesman said the flight attendant recruitment drive was “to meet manpower needs”.
The spokesman said the majority of flight attendants and pilots had returned to work and SIA was gradually increasing capacity and adjusting customer service as air travel increased due to the opening of the VTL for vaccinated travellers.
Layoffs in September 2020
In September 2020, the group also launched layoffs at its three airlines – Singapore Airlines, SilkAir and Scoot, with 4,300 jobs affected at that time.
The airline industry was greatly affected by COVID-19, SIA stopped recruiting ground staff in February 2020.Â
Other cost-saving responses include having flight attendants retire or leave early.
In this recruitment exercise, Singapore Airlines also invited former flight attendants who were affected by the layoffs to apply.
SIA’s website state that the job will be based in Singapore and a 5-year contract will be offered.
