SPEED CAMERA MIGHT BE INSTALLED IN SENG KANG, SAID MP GAN

A recent statistics of drivers caught for speeding in the vicinity of Seng Kang showed that 6,500 drivers were caught speeding in the past 18 months along

said Minister for Home Affairs K Shanmugam replying to queries of MP Gan Thiam Poh when he asked for statistics of the 5 roads.

Mr. Gan also said that the authorities should also clamp down on vehicles that are not street legal which makes excessive noise.

Mr Gan said: “For Sengkang West Way, the Traffic Police is also studying the feasibility of deploying a speed camera to increase deterrence,”

Other penalties includes fines, prosecutions and even suspension of license. The worse penalty could be getting into an accident causing harm to others or yourself and love ones.
