S’PORE EXPANDS VTLS TO PENANG, BALI, INDIA, VIETNAM, FROM 16 MARCH

Singapore will be extending the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) to include more cities in the region.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) said in an announcement on 4 March that two new VTLs will be launched with Vietnam and Greece.

The VTL for Malaysia will be expanded to include Penang from 16 March, with four daily flights flying between Singapore and Penang.

The VTL for Jakarta will also extend to include Bali-Denpasar on 16 March as well.

The VTL for India will also be expanded to all of the Indian cities on the same date.

Additionally, new VTLs will also be launched for Vietnam and Greece from the same date onwards (16 March), with Singapore also establishing quarantine-free travel with all the countries in Europe that have direct flights to Singapore.

With the Singapore-Vietnam VTL being launched, two-way quarantine-free travel between the two counties will be restored, with Vietnam planning to reopen its borders from 15 March.

Vaccinated Travel Pass applications for both Greece and Vietnam will be open on 13 March at 10am, with eligible travelers being required to apply for a VTP to enter Singapore.
