A Singaporean man, @v.raj___ shared on TikTok about how he was stuck in traffic on the Second Link for three hours after reaching there at 2pm on 19 June while trying to return to Singapore.
He then gave up waiting and made a u-turn, and decided to re-enter Singapore via the Woodlands Checkpoint.
He finally cleared immigration and returned to Singapore at 9pm.
The heavy jam took place in the afternoon and he was stuck with mother motorists who were also trying to return to Singapore.
He replied to a netizen in the comments saying that he was at the Second Link land crossing at 2pm where traffic was crawling for hours.
Needed to catch a breather
The jam was so bad that the man and his friends alighted from their car to catch a breather, eating a packet of putu ayam on the hood of their car.
Some of the motorists also allegedly urinated at the grass patch at one point after waiting for so long, and he helped to direct the traffic.
He eventually gave up waiting and u-turned, driving to the Causeway to enter Singapore through the Woodlands Checkpoint.
He said that the jam at the Causeway was not as bad as at the Second Link and he managed to return to Singapore by 9pm, after 7 hours.
