This alarming incident, shared on Instagram (@sgfollowsall) on November 16, has raised concerns about food safety and quality.
The Initial Shock
The revelation came through an Instagram Story posted by an anonymous user, claiming to be a teacher. The shocking account detailed how a colleague had stumbled upon a dead lizard halfway through consuming a Sunshine bread product.
To add a cringe-worthy twist, the teacher unknowingly bit into the lizard’s tail before realizing what had occurred.
Upon close inspection of the packaging and color, it was deduced that the bread in question was likely an Enriched Butter Sugar Wholemeal bun.
This revelation added a layer of concern, prompting questions about how a lizard found its way into the packaging process.
A wild Charmander appeared
The accompanying image showed a half-eaten bun with the unfortunate lizard squashed against it. This visual representation left little to the imagination and raised speculation about the potential entry points for foreign objects during the bread’s production or packaging.
