Facebook user Thomas Koh has recently shared his unpleasant encounter with a food operator on Complaint Singapore Facebook page.
According to his post, a steel wool mesh was found inside his food that was bought from 金味海鲜 Zi Char Stall located at Block 147 Serangoon North Ave 1. The user then mentioned that the steel wool mesh has almost killed him after choking on it.
He then went back to the stall and told the stall supervisor about what had happened. Instead of apologising, the supervisor replied rudely and told the user that such things bound to happen and he is not the first one.

Steel wool mesh was found inside food at blk 147 Serangoon north ave 1 （金味海鲜) inside Choh Dee Place coffee shop..
I got choke by a 5.5 cm stainless steel mesh (see pic) found in my dinner that almost killed me.. I felt a sharp pain in my throat and tried forcing it out but didn’t succeed as it’s hooked and luckily, i managed to pull it out instead. With further consideration, i comforted the store supervisor out of goodwill hoping that they will be more careful but was being treated in an unacceptable manner saying that IT’S BOUND TO HAPPEN… And even worse… She said… YOU ARE NOT THE FIRST ONE… Her attitude was so rude and unprofessional that any food operator should have….
I didn’t demand any compensation at all.. It’s all out of goodwill wanting to remind them to be more careful..but her words are all I’ve got.
