Texas Chicken Singapore recently ran a promotion announcing that they will be giving out free, limited edition “chicken bags” with every purchase of their “13th Anniversary Chick Deal” from 16 April onwards.

Overwhelming demand
The response to the promotion has so far been overwhelming to say the least, with long queues being reported at almost every outlet.
A netizen on TikTok, @usman26waw, shared a video of one of the Texas Chickcen staff members, who was seen in the video breaking down and crying in the corner because of the stress and pressure she faced from the customers’ queries.
She was seen standing at the side of the restaurant and crying while facing the wall, while an elderly uncle and another woman tried to console her.
The netizen who posted the video, Usman, said that the uncle in the video was initially asking the worker about the free chicken bag, if it was still available.
She told him that there were no more bags available but the promotion was still ongoing, and the uncle then suggested that she provided feedback to the management about it instead of letting customers queue blindly, as two other customers then came forward and said that they had queued for about 4.5 hours to 5 hours.
The uncle then suggested that the customers get a bag once they have been restocked.
The staff then started panicking and tried to explain that the bags can’t be restocked, but the uncle purportedly kept repeating himself.
The worker then subsequently broke down and burst into tears, before running into a corner, as the uncle then went over and tried to comfort her.
Usman added that the customers were not rude to the worker and didn’t scold her, and added that it might be due to her lack of experience resulting in her being stressed.
