Is anybody else struggling to just survive?
My husband and I both work full time and it feels like we just can’t catch up and are living paycheck to paycheck.
There’s a new financial problem every month. Doctors appointments, house problems, you name it. We just can’t keep up and keep getting bills upon bills that we cannot afford.
We don’t live outside our means (seriously; we never buy ourselves anything that’s not an essential and we don’t go on any fun vacations) but we still cannot save any money at all.
We’re in our mid twenties and both feel like failures that we can’t settle down and buy a house together much less even have $1,000 in our savings.
I’m so stressed out everyday. I’m contemplating getting a second job but i already don’t have time to do housework, so all chores will be impossible if I get another job.
My husband already works 50 hours a week and I work 40. We should not be struggling so bad right now yet we are.
Anyways, I just wanted to rant… does anyone else feel this way?

- Don’t feel bad about not being able to afford a house in your mid twenties. My partner is almost 40 and I’m in my mid 30s, and we can’t afford a house. You certainly aren’t failures.
- You are definitely not alone. Many people are struggling. This economy is not geared for much of the middle class anymore. Instead, it’s a brutal playground for the affluent and wealthy.
- That’s just the way it is anymore. I’ll be 33 this year with absolutely no home buying in sight. My retirement plan is kicking the bucket LOL.
- It’s like this on purpose. Corporations and businesses are lying about inflation being the cause of price increases. They’re just squeezing the working class of every time because they can get away with it, for now at least.
