I never thought I’d be in this kind of mess, but here I am. My girlfriend started working night shifts at the supermarket, and at first, I thought nothing of it. But then she began coming home late, always too tired to talk. Something just didn’t feel right, you know?
One night, I decided to follow her after she left for work. I had this gut feeling that I needed to know what was really going on. I trailed her car, keeping a safe distance, and then she drove to a hotel not far from our place. I parked a bit away, my heart racing.
When I saw her get out of the car and walk towards the entrance, I noticed a man waiting for her. He looked like he was in his 50s, and I couldn’t believe it when I realized he was some “uncle” from the neighborhood. I was fuming. How could she do this to me? I felt so angry and betrayed, like I’d been played for a fool.
The next day, I confronted her. I asked her about her late-night shifts and the hotel. At first, she tried to deny it, but I could see the guilt all over her face. When she finally admitted to the affair, I felt like I’d been punched in the gut. I was furious. How could she betray my trust like that?
I couldn’t believe I had been so blind. All those late nights, all those excuses—it all made sense now. I felt a mix of anger and disappointment. I had trusted her completely, and now I was left feeling like an idiot.
I don’t know what’s next for me, but I know I can’t stay in this relationship. I deserve better than this kind of betrayal. It’s going to take time to process everything, but I’m done with the lies. I just want to move on and find someone who actually respects me.
