TOA PAYOH HIT-AND-RUN ACCIDENT: REMAINING 2 DRUG SUSPECTS ARRESTED

The CNB said in a joint statement with the police on 15 February that the remaining 2 suspects on the run, related to the hit-and-run accident in Toa Payoh last friday, have since been arrested.

The two men, 27 and 34, were arrested on 14 Feb and 15 Feb respectively.

The 27-year-old is believed to be the male passenger in the vehicle, and he was arrested for allegedly consorting with persons carrying offensive weapons in public places as well as drug related offences.

The 34-year-old man on the other hand, is believed to be the driver, and he was arrested for carrying an offensive weapon in public places, drug related offences, dangering driving causing grievous hurt as well as other traffic offences.

Separately, 1 32-year-old woman was arrested at the scene for drug related offences.

Officers from Tanglin Police Division, in cohort with the traffic police, established the identities of the two men through investigations.

The 34-year-old will be charged in court on 16 February, while investigations against the 27-year-old and 32-year-old are still ongoing.
