With this travel bubble in place, travellers will not be required to subject themselves to quarantine or stay-home notice.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) stated in a media release that the launch of the travel bubble will proceed as planned and flights will start between both countries on Sunday (Nov 21).

The additional requirement of a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test is a “precautionary measure given the rise of COVID-19 cases in Hong Kong over the past few days, and is provided for under the Singapore-Hong Kong ATB agreement”, said CAAS.

“More cases are expected in Hong Kong over the next few days due to the emergence of new clusters. The Singapore and Hong Kong health authorities are in close contact and monitoring the situation.”
