A video emerged online showing a truck beating a red light and crashing into another truck at a traffic junction.
The incident happened on 24 January at about 3.41pm, and the truck that was hit was seen making a right turn from the opposite side of the road.
The other truck, which appeared to be carrying sand, then crashed into it after beating the red light, which had been red for a while.
The resulting impact even sent some sand flying out of the truck.
Potential penalties
It is an offence to beat a red light in Singapore.
Drivers found guilty of failing to conform to traffic light signals face a composition fine of $400 for light vehicles and $500 for heavy vehicles.
They also face 12 demerit points and if a driver accumulates 24 or more demerit points within 24 months, their license will be suspended.
