Two University Students Fall to Their Deaths on Same Day at KL Condominium

Residents of a condominium in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur, were left in shock after two separate fatal falls involving university students occurred within the same day.

The first incident took place at around 6.30am on 20 August at Block B of the residence, where a 22-year-old female student from Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology was found dead after plunging from the 22nd floor.

Later that evening, at approximately 8.30pm, tragedy struck again. A male student reportedly fell from Block A of the same condominium, landing near the basketball court on the ground floor.

Police Seal Off Scene, Investigations Underway

Following the second incident, police cordoned off the area, with access to media representatives barred. At midnight, investigators were still combing the scene to establish the circumstances surrounding both deaths. Authorities have yet to release the male victim’s identity.

Eyewitnesses claimed that the male student fell from one of the upper floors, but details of the case remain unclear. Residents described the back-to-back incidents as deeply distressing, raising concerns over the wellbeing and mental health of students living there.

Father of Female Victim Alleges Mistreatment

The female victim, identified as Ho En Ni, was in her third year of studies. Her father told reporters that she had been enduring prolonged verbal Mistreatment and social exclusion from three female peers. He suggested that these experiences may have driven her to take her own life.

The back-to-back tragedies have intensified calls for universities and student housing operators in Malaysia to strengthen mental health support systems and address bullying cases more urgently.
