A video on a recording between Ukrainian border guards on Snake Island and a Russian waarship has been circulating online.

The audio was published by Ukrainiaan news outlet earlier today.
A group of Ukrainian border guards were stationed on Snake Island, in the Black Sea south of Odessa, when a Russian warship ordered them to surrender under threat of attack.

Their response: "Russian warship, go fuck yourself."

Translation:
Russian Warship: “This is a Russian military warship. I suggest you lay down your weapons and surrender to avoid bloodshed and needless casualties. In worse case, you will be bombed. We propose you to disarm or prepare to get hit”
Ukrainian border guard: “go F yourself.”
The guard who said those words knew what was coming and continued to say those words. International media outlets are calling the man a “hero” for his efforts
