A resident who had his slippers stolen by a “block shopper”, shared his CCTV footage of the incident online, with the thief being caught in the act.
In the video, a middle aged man wearing a black singlet and carrying a red sling bag, was seen loitering outside his home and pretending to smoke a cigarette as he looked around his surroundings to see if anyone was watching him.
After making sure that nobody was looking, he then dropped his smoking act and hurriedly bent down to pick up the resident’s Adidas slippers.
The man then fled the scene with his loot, unaware that his actions had been caught on CCTV.

In the video, the man can be seen pretending to smoke while loitering outside M’s unit. He has a cigarette in his mouth, but it appears to be unlit.
The man then bends down and clumsily picks up two pairs of Adidas slippers, before walking away with his loot.
