UNVACCINATED NOT ALLOWED TO DINE IN, ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS TO CHECK

MOH announced earlier that unvaccinated persons will not be allowed to dine in, enter shopping malls and attractions from 13 October onwards, under the “Vaccination-Differentiated Safe Management Measures” (VDS).

Following the announcement, NEA and SFA added that Safe Distancing Enforcement Officers (SDEOs) will be patrolling hawker centres and coffeeshops to conduct checks (selectively) on the vaccination status of the patrons.

When asked to show their vaccinating status, the diners will have to provide their TraceTogether token to be scanned or show the officers their vaccination staus on the TraceTogether app.

Persons who breached the VDS will have their particulars recorded and warned, while repeat offenders and those who refuse cooperation will have enforcement actions taken against them.

Signages will also be displayed at entrances to remind people of the new ruling.
