Recently there’s been a commotion going on in the social media regarding burning of joss paper in Bukit Panjang Park area.
The person has then went to seek help from Town council regarding on the matter.
Here is what she was updated by them,

“(Monday) Town Council Property Manager and I just had a conversation and the following actions will be taken:-
1) Notices in English & Mandarin will be sent to all units in Petir Road “
“2) Officers will engage households to speak to them directly on the burning of offerings. “
“3) Town Council will work with Singapore Police Force to identify the 2 groups of people pictured below for creating a huge bon fire since i’ve told them that particulars were taken down. “
“4) They are working with religious organisations which will than advise the buddist & taoist communities on the amount of products they are allowed / required to burn “
“5) Municipal Services Office (MSO) needs to pass a bill that will ensure burning outside the delegated bins will be reprimanded (In my opinion, we should create more awareness via all platforms to enforce the government that this is a problem to be solved in the year/s to come) “
“Once the 2 families have been identified, Town Council will follow up with me on their actions and next steps. “
