According to a media release, a 26-year-old Vietnamese man was sentenced to one year of jail after he was found guilty for stabbing his colleague with a knife. The man was charged with intentionally causing hurt to others.
It was reported that the incident happened on 04 Aug 2020. It was said that the incident was triggered after the man had a dispute with his colleague over breakfast duty and both men got into a fight shortly after.
The following day, the man woke up and felt pain in the back of his head. He was determined that the man was caused by his colleague the day before. Out of anger, he went into the kitchen and took a knife to stabbed his colleague in the chest.
Thankfully, the man was later stopped by his other roommates and the police were alerted. The victim was then sent to the hospital for treatment.
During the court hearing, the defence lawyer stated that the man was constantly bullied by his colleagues and that the reason behind his action.
