A video gone viral, after a group of police were seen stopping a man that was initially shouting but later gone violent.
Don’t worry its not Yishun.
A statement released by police
“On 18 October 2019 at about 10.10am, the Police were alerted to a case of a 23-year-old man, believed to be of unsound mind, shouting incoherently along Woodlands Street 12.
When police officers engaged the man, he turned violent despite attempts to calm him down. A police officer sustained minor injuries in the process of restraining him.
The man was subsequently arrested for using criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty and suspected drug-related offences.
No member of the public was harmed and the man did not sustain any injuries during the arrest.
The man has been referred to the Institute of Mental Health. Investigations are ongoing.”
