VISITING PRC PROFESSOR AT NUS CAUGHT WITH FAKE DEGREE

There is another major scandal in Chinese academia. The communications giant Huawei recently dismissed Chen Chunhua, a well-known female professor at Beijing University. Her doctoral degree was revealed to be from a fake university in Ireland.

In this regard, Beijing University said that it is still investigating.

Chen Chunhua is currently a Chair Professor of Beijing University, Dean of BiMBA Business School of National School of Development of Peking University, and visiting professor and doctoral supervisor of School of Business Administration of South China University of Technology and the National University of Singapore. 

She is a well-known business management scholar. She has been awarded “China’s 50 Most Influential Business Leaders” and “China’s 25 Most Influential Business Women” several times. She has published nearly 30 books.

The scandal of fake credentials

She was previously listed on the website of NUS as a Adjunct Professor. An Adjunct professor means she is a visiting or a part-time professor at a university.

Her photo was shortly removed after the alleged scandal, the page currently shows an empty profile picture.

She claims that she is a “Military Advisor” of Hua Wei but Hua Wei has since dismissed the claims.

In other words, “She doesn’t know Hua Wei, Hua Wei Don’t Know her”
