Around 345,000 used condoms that were cleaned and resold as “new”, were confiscated by Vietnam police.

Dozens of huge bags containing the soiled condoms were seen strewn across a warehouse floor.
The total weight of all the bags combined was about 360kg.
The owner of the warehouse said that they received a monthly supply of used condoms from an unknown source.
A woman was also detained during the operation, revealing that the condoms were boiled in water first, before being dried and reshaped using a wooden phallus.

They were then repackaged and resold.
It is unclear how many of the contaminated condoms had already been sold and is in circulation.
