WIFE SPLURGE MONEY SHE SUPPOSES TO SAVE, HUSBAND ARGUES BUT TOLD BY WIFE TO SLEEP OUTSIDE

My wife recently got paid a small sum from work and immediately spent a third of it on recreational items without telling me.

I told her to save the money and asked her when her paycheck was coming in. She said Friday, and then I said that we’re low on cash and that we should save it. She said I haven’t put any of my own paycheck money in the joint savings.

It’s technically true since all the money that I’ve put in has been deposited by her since I usually tell her to put any money she owes me into the savings instead (like for flights and a computer she asked me to put on credit).

I replied by saying it’s the same as depositing my own paycheck money in it since the money she would have sent me is ending up in the same place, only we cut out the part where we transfer the money to me and then into the joint savings.

I’m not stingy with my money, in fact, I am down to a couple thousand in my credit card because of buying things for both of us.

I kept saying my deposits are the same thing as chipping in from my paycheck, and her that it’s not the same thing. It escalated through this back and forth and I ended up asking if she was just being picky about which pool of money the deposits into the joint checking was coming from.

She is now extremely angry, and refuses to sleep in the same bed as me….
