Actor Will Smith made his first public appearance since his infamous slapping of Chris Rock at the Oscars on 28 March.
He was spotted at Mumbai, India; with People magazine reporting that he was at a private airport in the city.
Fans could be heard shouting at him to get his attention, screaming “WILL! WILL SMITH!”
Smith was also seen pausing to take photos with a few fans, before leaving and heading into an unspecified building.
At the time of writing, the reasons for Smith’s visit to India are unclear, but he has been to the country before in the past, most notably in 2019 when he wrote that India awakened a new understanding of himself.
Some fans are of the belief that Smith is on a journey of personal enlightenment in his latest trip to the city.
Smith has been facing negative receptions and reactions ever since his very public assault of Chris Rock at the Oscars, and has stayed away from the public eye since then.
