Hi, I need your sage advice please! Please no commentary on the age gap – I understand the connotations, I pursued him, etc etc etc. I’ll try keep this short and sweet, but details are absolutely available if requested.
My partner of 7 months and I have a very loving and communicative relationship. He is everything I’ve wanted, and we’re an excellent pairing. we enjoy being with each other very much, and we do our best to look after each other in bed.
To the f-up, we had a few drinks last week and whilst on the topic of other people’s relationships I offhandedly mentioned that I’ve never finished with a partner, ever.
He said he knew I didn’t finish every time but didn’t realise it was never, asked if I’d been faking it. I told him it was just a really weak semblance of finishing but it still felt great and I still very much enjoyed sleeping with him. He mentioned that we should be talking more about what we like and don’t like.
He looked quite hurt, and we never finished the conversation because he decided to go back to the rest of the group. I think so he didn’t dwell on the thought and feel bad.
He hasn’t initiated since the conversation, and I’m nervous this will impact his mentality during the act.
How do I repair this? Has anyone been in a similar situation?
