A Facebook user shared how she had booked 9-seater Grab Coach for herself and her companions for $60, before asking the driver if she could ass two more pick up points to pick up the other passengers.
The driver told her that each pickup point would be $10, and the netizen agreed, before asking the driver if the final price is $60 (the original booking fare) + $20 (the price of the 2 additional pick-up points).
However, the driver didn’t reply her.
On the day of the pickup, she was surprised that the driver brought an additional “assistant” along with him and as a result, one of the woman’s friends had to take a separate grab to the airport by himself.
At the end of the journey, the driver charged them an additional $10 instead of the $20 for the 2 additional pick-up points, saying that it was because their luggage was “overweight”.

I wish to make a complain of this uncle who drives a nine-seater van.
I originally booked this vehicle on grab from the hotel to the airport for a total of $60 (as you can see from the transaction records).
I asked him if he could add two more points to pick up people, and he also said that one point was $10, which I also accepted,
so I asked him if it was 60+20=$80. He didn’t reply my messages, and I suspect it was on purpose (please refer to the conversation screenshot attached).
When came to that day, to my surprise, there were actually two “drivers”, one driver’s assistant took up a seat, which made us not enough seats,
and I have to get one passenger to travel to the airport via another vehicle himself.
This is not the end! At the destination, the driver charged us $30. Why was there an extra ten dollars?
He said it was because our luggage was overweight. The uncle should have asked for the total number of passengers, pieces of luggage, and explain all the hidden charges in advance, but he instead charge more money to his liking, which is deceitful.
I obviously booked a nine-seater, and without the driver there should be eight seats. This is a horrific experience and is indeed a malicious intent by the driver to earn extra cash. This is an extremely unsatisfactory ride and I call upon Grab to look into this matter.
