Facebnook user Wynn Li shared how she had purchased a cheap luggage from a Valu-dollar outlet in Singapore and used it during her vacation.
She said that not everyone can afford an expensive luggage, hence her purchase of the luggage from Valu-dollar.
However, upon her first time using it, her luggage had both of its wheels detached and its body cracked, with a few noticeable holes at the bottom and visible cracks on the main compartment.
Here is what she said
Posting this is not a complaint or want valu$ to do anything, airline compensated me another luggage already.
Not everyone can afford $200 to even $1000 luggage. So this post is an awareness to anyone thought valu$ luggage is a shop that sell value things cheap. Beware.
Do not buy luggage from valu$! It’s cheap so you get lemon, see this lemon! First usage! My weight was only 11kg. 25” expandable.
On the way taking mrt to airport one wheel cracked. After 1 flying, 2 wheels and body cracked. Flew back everything cracked! hilarious!

- I’d nvr check’in to the cargo , this type of plastic luggage, it’s fancy only for hand carry…
- Gee, I googled and it seems the luggage is sold for below $50 and if it is damaged during flight, the airline will have to compensate you based on an assessment by an appointed claim adjustor, not based on receipt and it seems the claim can be up to $1K. Even if you get compensated with $100, it seems a better deal.
- Those bags they sell look great on the outside. But once you touch them you should know how filmsy they were .They are very cheap too . I think they were design for one trip use and throw.
- Some stuff at Valu$ aren’t worth buying..I have gotten a few crap products from them too..though by and large their products are really value for money.
