Foodpanda customer service is terrible. I called to cancel my order cos the food is not ready by the stipulated time for pickup.
The entire restaurant is overwhelmed. Foodpanda repeatedly put me on hold for 2-3mins each time, and claimed they needed to check with the restaurant. And after 8mins, foodpanda told le food is ready for collection.
When i reminded them that i already asked to cancel the order and have the money refunded, they told me they can cancel the order BUT cannot refund me.
Reason is the food is ready! Come on, you took 8mins to check, obviously the food will turn ready. I asked the customer recovery team yo called me back.
They promised to do so within 2-3 hrs but never materialised. It has been 5 days and i am still waiting.
Over the past five days, i tried to resurface the case to via their Chat, and they pull the same trick – put me on hold, then claim the case has been escalated and someone will call me soon.
When press further, they just abruptly ended the chat. Very bad service. Very dishonest way of doing business.
[Updates] The service recovery team finally emailed and called me today. They had given me full refund.
