Photos emerged online showing the aftermath of a worker who had fallen from height at a construction site at Orchard, with some netizens claiming that the worker had died after falling.
The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) said yesterday (20 December) that the 31-year-old Bangladeshi worker, who had fallen 10 metres at the worksite, had survived the fall and is in stable condition.
The accident took place on 19 December at about 3pm, at 18 Tomlinson Road, the address for a luxury freehold condominium Park Nova that is under construction at the moment.
The worker was performing scaffolding works when he fell and landed on the ground, and he sustained injuries to his right arm, things and cuts to his head.
He was conveyed to Singapore General Hospital and is currently in stable condition.
The man is a worker of Seng Yew Scaffolding and Engineering, while the work site occupier is China Construction Realty Pte Ltd.
MOM added that they have told the occupier to half all scaffolding and work-at-height activities.
