The incident allegedly happened at around 3pm on May 19 inside the women’s restroom on the ground floor of the mall. Witnesses told Chinese evening daily Shin Min that the woman appeared disoriented and struggled repeatedly to sit up after collapsing.

According to eyewitness accounts, the woman, believed to be in her early 20s, remained on the floor for several minutes as blood pooled around her head. A slipper and a vape-like device were also reportedly seen nearby, sparking speculation online about what may have happened before the fall.

A video circulating among witnesses showed the woman attempting to raise herself multiple times before eventually lying back down motionless.

A cleaner working nearby said she heard noise coming from the restroom and went to investigate. She described the woman as appearing dazed and confused, adding that she was initially too frightened to approach her due to the amount of blood and the woman’s condition.

After remaining motionless for several minutes, the woman eventually managed to stand up and leave the toilet on her own before emergency responders arrived.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force later confirmed that it had received a call for assistance at the location. However, by the time personnel arrived, no medical assistance was required.

The incident has since triggered discussion online, especially after reports mentioned the presence of the vape device beside the woman. Some netizens questioned whether the woman may have fainted after feeling unwell, while others speculated she could have slipped and struck her head during the fall.

In recent years, Singapore authorities have intensified enforcement against e-vaporisers, which remain illegal in the country. Possession, use and purchase of such devices can lead to fines and penalties under local regulations.

Despite the alarming scene witnessed by members of the public, the woman was reportedly able to walk away independently afterwards. No further details about her condition have been released.
