A woman shared her experience dining at a restaurant located in North Buona Vista, 1 plate of fish alone cause $396 and with the tax it is going to be over $400 just for a fish.
The service charge for the meal is enough to eat a good chilli crab at other places.

Some say rip off while others blame the customer
- The responsibility is on the customer to ask because the restaurant is in a difficult position. If they ask you whether you are ok with this price, some customers may get insulted and ask them whether they think they can’t pay. It’s a no-win situation for restaurants.
- Actually everyone so focused on the fish. Only a few realised the spinach is $42. If i go into this restaurant and saw the spinach at $42. I stand up and leave immediately
- I went Peach Garden at Clarke Quay before. Super bad experience! Boycott ever since. We should really share our bad experiences so that no one else should suffer. And thanks for sharing. And guys… I honestly feel if you can’t appreciate the victim’s kindness to warn you, just don’t comment anything. If every victim gets shamed, no one else will share and more ppl will have bad experiences in many areas/places. And it could be you. Do put yourself in their shoes.
- If you have a budget, don’t order fish. Or ask directly the price before ordering. Don’t need paiseh one. Tell them you only willing to spend a certain amount and ask them recommend. Sadly, you walked into an Crystal Jade Grand Palace standard restaurant wanting to pay like eating at Crystal Jade Kitchen price? You can only blame yourself.
