Woman Armed With Knife Causes Panic At Bukit Bintang Music Festival, Concertgoers Help Restrain Her
A night of music and celebration in Bukit Bintang took a frightening turn after a woman allegedly armed with a knife caused panic during the final night of the Rain Rave Water Music Festival on Saturday, May 2.
The incident unfolded in front of thousands of festivalgoers, with reports indicating that around 30,000 people had gathered at the large-scale event when chaos suddenly erupted within the crowd.
Witnesses said the 28-year-old woman allegedly began behaving aggressively while holding a knife, prompting nearby attendees to quickly move away in fear. Videos circulating online appeared to show people screaming and scrambling for safety as the situation escalated in the packed festival area.
Several members of the public reportedly stepped in to prevent the woman from harming others before the situation spiralled further out of control.
Concertgoers Help Restrain Woman Before Police Arrive
According to accounts from those present, one brave man was among the first to confront the woman and attempted to subdue her despite the danger involved. Other concertgoers soon joined in to help restrain her while waiting for the authorities to arrive.
During the struggle, another woman who attempted to disarm the suspect was bite her trying to stop her as tensions intensified. Despite the alarming confrontation, no serious injuries were reported.

Footage from the scene showed multiple individuals pinning the woman down on the ground in an effort to stop her from swinging the weapon or hurting nearby attendees.
Police officers later arrived at the venue and successfully disarmed the woman before placing her under arrest.
