A woman in Malaysia purportedly had recurring dreams of 2 sets of numbers; she went and bet on the numbers and really ended up winning the lottery jackpot of RM16.3 million (or SGD $4.92 million).
According to Malay Mail and Free Malaysia Today, the 54-year-old woman; who owns a business, reportedly kept seeing the numbers 3887 and 5785 in her dreams, as well as seeing the same numbers recurring in her waking life.
As it turns out, those numbers came out at 2 out of 3 winning numbers on the 29 March lottery draw.
She said that the number 5785 kept appearing in her dreams and that she “just had to try (her) luck and buy that number”.
She added that she usually bets on the Magnum 4D Classic games but on that day, she decided to take part in the jackpot because the prize money was the highest.
Also, she added, that when she was on her way to visit her relatives in Banting, she kept coming across vehicles with the license plate number 3887.
When she then stopped along the way to buy some fruits for her relatives, she saw a Magnum 4D outlet next door and “followed her instincts” and bought a “System Bet-8”, which comes with 8 sets of numbers to bolster her chances of winning.
When the winning numbers were later drawn, she was in disbelief when she saw her numbers come up, and she even had to ask her son to help her verify if her lottery ticket had indeed won the jackpot.
On her winnings, she said that it was a dream come true and that she was finally able to afford a dream house for her family, as well as fund their family vacation.
The woman said that she hadn’t taken a vacation in years because she works 7 days a week as a business shop owner, but now she can finally spend time with her family.
She also said that she will be donating a portion of her lottery winnings to charity.
