A video emerged online showing a woman being robbed while pumping petrol at a petrol station in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
The incident happened on 22 February at a petrol station near the Cheras MRT, as the woman was pumping petrol for her red Toyota Yaris.
The whole robbery was captured on the dashcam of another car that was waiting behind her at the time.
The woman was seen in the dashcam footage walking towards the driver’s side of the car and unlocking the door to enter the vehicle.
She was seen fixated on something that she was holding in her hands and staring intently at it, oblivious to her surroundings and unaware that a man wearing a blue motorcycle helmet was waiting on the other side of her car.
Just as she unlocked her car, the man then opened the passenger side door on the other side of the car and snatched the woman’s belongings from the front seat.
The woman then soon realised that she is being robbed as the man then runs away towards his motorcycle which was parked in front of the victim’s car, before riding away with another motorcyclist (believed to be his accomplice acting as a lookout) following close behind.
The woman tried to catch the robber and grabs him by his arm, but lost her balance and fell onto the road.
