saw someone posted awhile ago about whether it’s right to give up seats for the elderly if they demanded for it. and have a similar qn –
what are the thoughts on the people who squeezed 2 kids/adults into 1 seat when there’s clearly not enough space for both.
firsthand saw and encountered this way too many times, that they do that till the person beside gives up their seats like as those it’s their rights to have it.
saw someone did that today and the parent of the kids had a luggage that kept hitting the person squeezed in btwn (the 2 kids were in a seat on the left and the grandma was on the right of the person).
eventually, the person got up to let them have the seat and the parent was still rude and thought she deserved the seat.
i just thought it’s a basic courtesy to be polite and make your public transport trip a nice one for other commuters as well but it’s getting more and more common these days. any thoughts?

- if they asked politely, i would’ve gave up my seat immediately but if they were to squeeze me with their luggage, i would just open my leg big big and glare at them.
- That’s upright rude and self entitled. If your kids are very young, I’m sure people would have given them their seats, or even if the family asked nicely that would work. Squeezing two kids in is just passive aggressive, forcing the poor commuter to give up his/her seat.
