A woman in Singapore decided to take a ferry to Johor Bahru instead of crossing the checkpoints so as to beat the huge crowds there.

She posted a video on her TikTok page,m @munzpewpew on 14 June, documenting her journey.

The journey begins at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore, where she boarded a ferry to Tanjung Pengelih in Johor, with the ferry ride typically taking around 45 minutes to reach JB.

To embark on this ferry adventure, she purchased round-trip tickets at an approximate cost of S$70 from the Batam Fast counter upon arrival at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.

Upon arrival in Tanjung Pengelih, it’s essential to note that private hire transport options are limited. To overcome this hurdle, she arranged for a private vehicle to pick her up and send her to Johor Bahru city center.

The cost of this private car service is approximately RM200 (S$57.65). The journey from Tanjung Pengelih to Johor Bahru City Square takes over an hour by car, covering a distance of about 110 kilometers.

The woman then went to the southeastern coast of Johor with her friends and visited the Yard and Co cafe, situated about 21km away from where they alighted from at Tanjung Pengelih.

She later took the 4pm ferry back to Singapore that same day.
