A netizen recently shared on social media about her displeasure at the services provided by a nail spa which operates in Waterway Point shopping centre in Punggol.
She had went there hoping to get her nails and feet nicely done, only to be upset about the services that and encounter which she got from the staff there who according to her were pushy.
She eventually gave in to the staff constant pressurising and claimed that she paid $328 for ugly nails and feet.
Here is her story
“I recently went to Pixie Nail Spa (Waterway Point) to get my nails done up. I really didn’t care if it lasted through CNY or not. It was just for my own enjoyment.
But the staff was pressuring me to get gels to my discomfort when all I wanted was a $18 quick shape and normal colour.
When I told them “it’s fine, Gels don’t work well on me cause I have very soft nails.” They proceeded to push me even more option like nail hardener which are expensive.
This is after I said no twice that I don’t really want it. They coax my husband who was beside me to agree with them (cause he doesn’t know better) and make me feel very very cornered and uncomfortable.
This whole conversation was also done in Chinese when I already told them I can only speak English. Which enable them to fast talk and confuse me.
So moving on, I did in the end succumb to the pressure (which I cried in the end which make them sort of back away a little cause I seriously felt very attacked.)
So one of the staff proceeded to do a Nail Hardening Gel Overlay With Gel Manicure. After this WHOLE FIASCO the result for it was disgusting.
If you can see the images. They are way too thick , unevenly applied so it is bumpy and make my nails look so stubby. Like… if you want to hard sell as least make it nice.
Anyways they also add on stuff to my husband callus treatment and wasn’t transparent with the price. So from a simple $18 express manicure become $176 disgusting stubby nails which apparently will last till CNY much to my horror.
And my husband $89 callus treatment become $152 with that additional add on which is basically a herbal lotion on his foot.
Total damage :$328 for ugly nails and feets”
