A video is currently circulating of two young boys who were caught fishing illegally.
The boy who caught a fish even took a photo and posed with the fish, it is unclear if the boy released the fish back into the waters.
A man caught the pair of young punks fishing and warned them, the pair ignored him and continue posing with their ‘trophy’.
For flouting circuit measures the boys can be slapped with $300 fine each and for fishing illegally the fine is much heftier
Offenders can be fined up to S$3,000 if they are caught fishing at no-fishing areas and/ or using live bait at reservoirs.
According to PUB: “To report any illegal fishing activities, or if anyone has information on the two youths, please call 1800-CALL-PUB so that we can take this opportunity to educate them on responsible fishing and the circuit breaker safety measures,”
