An 18 year old man has been arrested in connection to the Boon Lay slashing incident which happened yesterday (7th Oct).
Witnesses stated that they saw two men fighting before the scuffle slowly led both individuals into the supermarket. One man was seen fleeing the scene with a knife in his hand while leaving the injured man who was bleeding profusely inside.

“On 7 October 2020 at 12.40pm, the Police were alerted to a case of voluntarily causing grevious hurt by dangerous weapon at 221 Boon Lay Place. A 23-year-old man was attacked by another man with a knife. The 23-year-old man suffered injuries to his face and head and was conscious when conveyed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. A 18-year-old man was arrested in relation to the case. Police investigations are ongoing.”
