2909 NEW COVID-19 CASES, 8 MORE SENIORS PASSED AWAY, DEATH TOLL 103

Singapore has reported 2,909 new Covid-19 cases on Friday (Oct 1), with 2,079 of these cases belonging to the community and another 818 cases belonging to the migrant worker dormitories.

There are also 12 imported cases.

556 out of 2079 cases are seniors who are above age 60.

There are also 8 new deaths reported in the country, bring the total death tally to 103.

The deceased are aged between 66 to 96, which includes seven Singaporean men and one Singaporean women.

Four of the deceased were unvaccinated, two of them were partially vaccinated while the remaining two are inoculated against the virus.

All of the deceased had underlying medical conditions.

The total case count in Singapore now stands at 99,430.
